great showing at AutoMass Chicago...

AutoMass Chicago is an event that bring the local drifters and car show participants together in one location.  Round 1 was the first time that I assembled the guys around me to show under the Wagon LifeStyle name, and we sure got folks to notice out rides...

nothing ever goes easy, while rolling down there, the STI was running super lean and we took our time down (later to find out it was a bad O2 sensor).  All together we had 4 rolled in together on the early sunday morning... we have;

Jim (co-author here) with his W-Blood bB....

Don with his VIP inspired Odyssey....

Nick with his well package STI GBR...

 and myself with my Matrix...

It was a long chilly and windy day... we were all hoping for the sun to show up and the wind to die down...  but you get the folks saying it's going to rain and shatter our hopes... Judging came around and we all tried our best to impress them... we must of done something right because we all walked away with at least a trophy...

Jim - Best Scion
Don - Best Honda/Acura ... Also Best of Show
Nick - Best Subaru
myself - 3rd place Toyota...

For the first time together, I say that was sure impressive...  I'm happy that my guys all won and they deserved it... also to all the winners at this event, they are well deserved, no doubt in my mind with the judging at this event... they did a great job...

till next time, we all don't know when the next time all of us are going to show together... BUT, I would love to have more owners that won't mind to show with or even on the track... if you are interested hit either myself or Jim up...

WHOA., wait...

check out this ST.... WAIT!!!!

this isn't an STI hatch door...

it's a Mazda Axela (Mazda3 )

WHOA...

the hood is just RIGHT with the spoiler.!!!

Can I have a Kei, Pat?

Some of the notable Kei cars at Excite King. And I really liked the hood on this WagonR. Not to mention the wide body too.

Another neat Daihatsu you see often. Great eyepopping color mix with the yellow to black to red on white.

This Move Custom was really squatted at eye level.

I bet all of you spotted the donked SUV first....

I find the window logos interesting

Can't make this post without returning to the eK Wagon...so epic!

Stepping up his game

This turned up in my news feed on Minkara. Pretty cool Stepwgn. Use of Mercedes hood vents and the big roof spoiler is old school.
Yet the headlights' LED/frosted plexi work modernizes the car nicely.

The pattern on the rims from CSG Create was a quick fad.
looks like Affection aero part too.

Exit to Eden

What can anyone say? that is just flawless work and detail on the body of this Accord. Right down to the little appendages over the foglights.

Affection aero for the bit of outlaw style. I mean, the lines on this car were amazing and I was extremely excited to see it first hand. And I can't think of another car that can pull off the RB1 Odyssey headlights any better than this and a S-13...

Mistsubishi eK Wagon

This is one of Japan's top Kei-car's on the show circuit

The perfect stance
This paint is new for this year

It's clever to change the grill out from another car. I know it doesn't make sense to many that the logo reamins. But I'm used to it....

Mazda3 in Thailand

check out the video of this Mazda3 in Thailand, for those  flush and fitment in heart...

bB's of Excite King

Of course I was enthusiatstic to meet bB owners and see their car in person. This particular one has an Avanzare kit and lots of LED work....

I still found this mix of parts interesting. Nissan President grill, Affection bumper with the rest of the kit being Garson Geraid. SSR wheels as well

The purple interior was done well.

This one could very well be an excellent example of street tuning. nice bright paint, air suspension. That touch of silver CF on the bumper was really cool.

Oh, did I mention they like using LED's? Everyone has LED taillights. The owner handed me a club logo...First Star....Look for it on my xB!

This may be the only use of this wheel I've seen on a bB. Usually reserved for kei cars. again, air suspension for frame laying duty. Brown on the mirrors is a nice touch.

I know there are people that wanted proof of this one I talked about. here it is! Pretty much a Spirits kit with some sort of mid wing and boso Pipes. This thing was loud!!

I loved this dudes mirrors too. No idea what they are from. The black on the sideskirts is actually cut out with mesh...interesting.

Previously posted, but still a bB at the show

A trophy winner at Excite King in which I saw the trophy at Garage Provide. Was as tall as me. I wonder how he got it there?
I have plenty more, stay tuned....

Excite King Pt.4

It's still impressive to see the range of vehicles at a show like this.....even a MPV with a Louis Vuitton hood mask...

The Toyota Sienta is a really popular car. No surprise to see one laid out.

This WagonR was really interesting with it's truxarossa sideskirts.

Himegumi in the...uhhh....flesh? I always loved the gold lettering on the rims....

the rear of the truxarossa WagonR. It is/was a common practice to shave the rear window although there is usually a mural there. I figured this a nice change. Clever use of exhaust tips...

Yet another gals car who happened to be hiding from the rain....the pink is a new touch I heard

Sexy Custom's Estima was there. Unfortunate with the rain as it was closed up....

Excite King 2012 pt.3

A little more from Excite King....interior pic of this car next time. great marble paint inside

Another feature car from the wagon magazines....it was awesome to see these cars outside of the books.

Another Ody from eyelevel

This one was bright!

Great use of LED in this bB.
